Everything you need to know about CSReputation

Getting Started

What is CSReputation?

CSReputation is a community-driven platform designed to help CS2 traders verify the trustworthiness of potential trading partners. By aggregating user feedback and trade history, we provide a transparent reputation score that helps you make informed decisions and trade safely.

How do I get started?

Simply use the search bar on the homepage. Enter a Steam ID, custom URL, or profile link to look up any trader. You'll instantly see their reputation score, total trades, and detailed feedback history. No sign-up is required to search.

Is CSReputation free to use?

Yes, CSReputation is 100% free for all users. There are no premium tiers or hidden fees. Our goal is to make CS2 trading safer for everyone.

Do I need to download anything?

No downloads are required. CSReputation is a web-based platform that works directly in your browser. You can access it from any device with an internet connection.

Feedback System

How does the feedback system work?

After a trade, users can leave feedback for their trading partner. Each review includes a rating (positive/negative), a comment, and details about the trade type and payment method. This feedback is then used to calculate the trader's overall reputation score.

Can I leave feedback for anyone?

To ensure authenticity, you must log in via your Steam account to leave feedback. This links your review to your real Steam profile, preventing spam and fake reviews.

What information should I include in feedback?

Be specific and factual. Mention who went first, the items or payment involved, and how smooth the communication was. The more details you provide, the more helpful your feedback is for other traders.

Can I edit or delete my feedback?

Feedback is permanent to maintain the integrity of the system. If you have a legitimate issue with a review you've left or received, please contact our support team.

What happens if someone leaves false feedback?

We take false feedback very seriously. If you believe a review is fraudulent, you can report it. Our team will investigate and may remove the feedback if it violates our guidelines. Repeated abuse can lead to a ban.

Reputation & Scoring

How is reputation score calculated?

The reputation score is a percentage calculated as (Positive Reviews / Total Reviews) * 100. For new users with no reviews, the score defaults to 100% until feedback is received.

What do the reputation levels mean?

A high score (e.g., >90%) indicates a highly trusted trader with a strong history of positive transactions. A lower score may suggest caution, and we recommend reviewing the trader's detailed feedback before proceeding.

How often is reputation updated?

Reputation scores are updated in real-time. As soon as new feedback is submitted, the score and total trade count are immediately recalculated.

Can reputation scores be manipulated?

Our system is designed to be resilient against manipulation. Feedback is tied to verified Steam accounts, and we monitor for suspicious activity like review bombing or fake positive reviews. We rely on our community to report any unusual patterns.

Safety & Security

How do I stay safe while trading?

Always check a user's CSReputation profile before trading. Verify their Steam level, inventory, and look for common scam signs. Use trusted middlemen from reputable communities for high-value trades.

What information do you collect?

We only collect publicly available Steam profile information (SteamID, username, avatar). We do not access or store your private Steam data, trade history, or inventory.

How do I report suspicious activity?

If you encounter a scammer or see fake feedback, please use the "Report" button on the user's profile or contact us directly. Provide as much evidence as possible (screenshots, chat logs) to help our investigation.

What should I do if I'm being impersonated?

Impersonation is a serious issue. Contact us immediately with links to the impersonating profile. We will flag the account on our platform and advise you on how to report it to Steam.

Technical Support

Why can't I log in?

Ensure you are clicking the "Sign in through Steam" button on a trader's profile page. This will redirect you to the official Steam website. After entering your credentials, you'll be redirected back. If issues persist, try clearing your browser cache.

My profile information is outdated. How do I update it?

Your profile information (username, avatar) is automatically updated from Steam whenever you log in or when someone searches for your profile. There's no need to manually update it.

I can't find someone's profile. Why?

Make sure you're using the correct SteamID, custom URL, or profile link. If the profile is new or has never been searched on CSReputation before, it will be added to our database after the first search. It may take a few seconds to fetch from Steam.

The website is loading slowly. What can I do?

Slow loading can be due to network issues or high traffic. Try refreshing the page or checking again later. If the problem persists, please let us know so we can investigate.
